Olde Time Christmas Celebration in Jim Thorpe, PA

Jim Thorpe’s streets bustle with the sounds and joy of the Christmas season,

horse-drawn carriages transport riders through the beautifully adorned Victorian

Jim Thorpe’s popular Olde Time Christmas Celebration is spread out over three
weekends: December 2-4, 10-11, and 17-18. Grab your family, friends and loved

Christmas is a special time of year in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. The
decorations, the cozy accommodations, the sounds of the trains and carolers, and

Train rides with Santa, Live Nativity, Historic District Ghost Walks, Olde Time
Christmas Arts Bazaar, Gingerbread House Contest, expanded shopping hours,
seasonal dinner specials at our many restaurants.

In addition, ticketed entertainment takes place each Saturday night of Olde
Time Christmas at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, one of the finest downtown music
venues in Pennsylvania.

Ski for the Cure

“Ski for a Cure” Breast Cancer Awareness Day Benefiting the Susan G Komen Foundation Northeast Affiliate Get Involved. Imagine life without breast cancer. Get Involved. Because 10 million women around the world could die from breast cancer in the next 25 years, we continue to fight every minute of every day to save every life. You can help! February 25, 2012 at Jack Frost Mountain is “Ski For The Cure” Day. JFBB supports Breast Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Jack Frost will make a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Northeastern PA Affiliate.

  • Race Gates: 8:30-10:30am (entrance fee $5 all proceeds donated to Komen)

JIm Thorpe Victorian Heritage Weekend

The Second Annual Victorian Heritage Festival is centered around the annual Victorian Ball at the Mauch Chunk Museum.  The weekend kicks off on Friday Nov 4th and goes through Sunday Nov. 6th with the Ball on Saturday night. The weekend will be filled with activities and lectures that focus on Jim Thorpe’s Victorian past. Proceeds benefit the Kemmerer Carriage House restoration. Click for more info
